Can you rely on Santa Claus? Jolly Old St. Nicholas is an important part of western society and most of us grew up with this particular magical icon. Recently I came upon the idea that Santa represents an original archetype. In Jungian psychology, archetype is described as an inherited memory represented in the mind from a universal symbol and observed in dreams and myths.
In searching of these symbolic images with this dear old man I realized that which Santa Claus represents may also be used to motivate us in creating to the new year. I see him as a fun-loving guy which brings us joy, love, excitement and happiness. It’s said he makes all our dreams and wishes become a reality. During this season we are packed with expectations, the brilliance of light-filled homes, the enjoyment to be with friends and neighbors to celebrate life, and also the joy and gratitude of giving and receiving.
I discover that santa in your house reflects several archetypes. He can be viewed in the Innocent archetype, helping us to trust, to hope as well as to think that a greater day lies ahead. He is clearly driven by faith and trust, bring that hope and giving us that faith and also the trust that most is going to be well.
The Caregiver archetype, however, is not really in the exercise of power which is the motive, nevertheless the drive to bestow care on those who require it: the care, concern and nurturing they lack but deserve. He is about giving to others fulfilling their needs. And that he fails to ask for anything in exchange except a cookie, glass of milk or some eggnog. He seems to be a powerful guy, settling on who turns into a new Nintendo and who gets t-shirts or shoes. When we are great and when we believe, Santa will make sure we have everything you want.
An important aspect of Santa’s story is definitely the magical transformation from his rising up a chimney with the touch of his nose as well as his yearly trek worldwide. And on top of that, his flying reindeer without GPS onboard is nothing short of miraculous, indeed. He magically brings gratitude, compassion and love to all, one child’s heart at a time. Santa is the quintessential Magician archetype helping us transform and transcend current reality to get new means of dealing, being and succeeding.
While we are creating our dreams, our visions, and our selections for 2010, let’s all be sure you use our Santa Claus model along with the Law of Attraction, Creation and Allowing. While you have selected and then more clearly defined your options in creating your 2010 Journey, take advantage of this technique to shift your beliefs and allowing of that particular which you desire.
Sometimes only the subtle shift from viewing our images from a mature part of attempting to force, worrying over and wondering how things will change, on the wide-eyed expectations and faith of kids. A vital part of the skill of Allowing would be to let go and let God. Releasing our attachment to old beliefs, ideas and teachings allows us to open to the Infinite Probabilities of the Universe.
Then too, we could liken Santa’s management skills to your universal manager. Could you envision him bringing toys to everyone, world-wide, within one night? And all by the due date and within budget? That’s what we’re taught the Universe can perform for people, whenever we change it over to God/Source. Inside the book “Ask & It Really Is Given” one of the Proven Processes is catchusanta it up to the manager. As we set our goals, it’s like delegating to a Universal Manager. And as we take a step back, and enable the Universe set things set up, we CREATE! Remember, we’re not giving up choices, we’re merely turning over every detail and creating our choices.
I urge you to focus on giving up to your Universal Manager all the stuff you are feeling you want to do during this holiday week. You’ll believe it is amazing that since we shift our focus of reality, our reality changes. I’ve done this personally when I’ve felt overwhelmed by each of the chores I feel I have to do. Amazingly, some get done, some don’t, although some just don’t seem very important. I’ve had instances when my daughters and daughters-in-law would offer to accomplish some of the baking. I’ve learned to accept help and reply with a grateful “Yes!” This procedure is priceless in all of the elements of life, not only the holidays. Legal Requirements of Attraction is unfolding and orchestrating all that must eventually bring me my desires, Now.
